The Phlebotomy certificate program at the Community College of Philadelphia is a one semester program. The course includes two hours of lecture, three hours of student lab, and eight hours of a critical rotation every week. The clinical rotation will be held in a hospital or an outpatient facility.

This program is a great way to get started in the health care field. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take state and national certification exams and become certified Phlebotomists.



In order to apply to this program, students must have a high school diploma or GED, English 101 readiness, the results from a physical exam including immunization history, verification of medical insurance, and a negative criminal background check, child abuse clearance and a negative drug screening.
